All cryptocurrencies use public and private keys to operate.
Your Public Key is your cryptocurrency “address” where you receive cryptocurrency, hold cryptocurrency and spend cryptocurrency. The Private Key is the secret key that is used to enable that wallet to make payments and do lots of other things such as operating smart contracts.
